The In Room Dining Server role at Halekulani is an integral position within the hotel's food and beverage team, designed to elevate the guest experience through exceptional room service. This role is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and detailed service in delivering food and beverage orders directly to guest rooms. The position demands a thorough knowledge of the hotel's exquisite menu offerings, including preparation, presentation, and pricing of each item, as well as an understanding of beverage selections such as wines, champagnes, beers, and cocktails. The In Room Dining Server plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, handling inquiries about hotel services and local activities, and professionally addressing any concerns or complaints.

The server must maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment, follow state liquor regulations vigilantly, and operate point of sale (P.O.S.) systems accurately. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while upholding Halekulani's high standards of hospitality. The selected candidate will report directly to the In Room Dining Manager and Shift Supervisor, collaborating closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely delivery and service of orders.

The role involves physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and handling trays and food orders, with a requirement to lift items up to 50 pounds occasionally. This position generally requires a high school diploma or equivalent vocational training, prior restaurant service experience, and possession of a Liquor Commission Card as mandated by state law.
