The In-Room Dining Server position at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards the hotel is known for. Job Duties
- develop rapport with guests
- maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patrons and employees
- execute and facilitate service in cooperation with room service coordinators, servers, cooks, chefs, stewards, and managers
- ensure guests receive responsive, professional, and gracious service at all times
- facilitate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- describe menu features including changes and additions
- answer food and beverage related questions
- assist chef in expediting food
- maintain a clean and safe environment
- take guest orders in the absence of a coordinator
- plate and prepare small food items and accompaniments
- collect guest dishes and clean tables
- deliver guestroom amenities promptly
- restock private bars
- deliver miscellaneous requested items including ice buckets, plateware, glassware, silverware, condiments
- ensure timely delivery of spa orders
- set up and breakdown boardroom events and banquet event orders
