This full-time, non-management position in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category focuses primarily on room service operations. The role is pivotal in maintaining the signature high standards and seamless guest experiences that the EDITION Hotels brand is known for. The position involves direct interaction with guests over the phone, taking and confirming room service orders, responding knowledgeably about the menu and wine selections, and promptly communicating with the kitchen and other relevant departments to ensure orders are accurately fulfilled and delivered on time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of room service order processing, including entering transactions into the MICROS system, handling multiple payment methods, and completing closing reports. Job Duties

  • Take room service telephone orders
  • respond to menu selection questions and confirm with kitchen staff
  • answer guest inquiries about the origin, harvest, and style of various wines
  • locate and log callbacks for room service orders
  • notify guests and management of service delays
  • communicate to the kitchen any extra food orders, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • enter transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order
  • complete closing reports including MICROS reports
  • process all method of payments
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management
  • maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • protect company proprietary information and assets
  • greet and recognize guests according to company standards
  • anticipate and fulfill guest service needs
  • assist guests with disabilities
  • express genuine appreciation to guests
  • communicate clearly and professionally over the phone
