Job Description
EDITION Hotels, part of Marriott International, represent a distinctive blend of boutique luxury and innovative hospitality. Founded in partnership with visionary hotelier Ian Schrager, EDITION Hotels focus on delivering an experience that balances style, comfort, and exceptional service. Located in Miami Beach, Florida, at 2901 Collins Ave, EDITION Hotels cater to discerning guests who value originality and high-quality hospitality. Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, known for providing a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for its associates and guests alike. The company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion makes it an employer of choice for individuals seeking meaningful careers in the food and beverage sector.
The position open is a Full-Time Room Service Specialist based in Miami Beach. This non-management role plays a crucial part in elevating the guest experience by efficiently taking and processing room service orders, answering guest inquiries about menu options, and ensuring seamless communication between guests and kitchen staff. The Room Service Specialist is responsible for logging orders accurately using the MICROS system, addressing special dietary requests or allergies, and managing payment transactions. This role requires maintaining cleanliness of workspaces, adhering to safety and security policies, and actively contributing to a courteous and professional environment that anticipates and meets guest needs.
At EDITION, the focus goes beyond routine service— team members are encouraged to bring personality and warmth to each interaction, creating a theatrical hospitality experience that delights guests. The work demands clear communication skills, patience, and a genuine appreciation for guest satisfaction. While no prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required, candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent to be considered. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a global, purpose-driven team where associates can develop professionally and contribute to a brand renowned for luxury and individuality.
Joining EDITION Hotels through Marriott International means joining a company that values the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates and offers continuous training and safety certification programs. The position requires physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods and perform light lifting as needed, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and positive work environment. Prospective candidates will find a supportive workplace culture where teamwork is essential to meeting common goals and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role is an excellent fit for outgoing, customer-focused individuals who want to work in an inspiring setting that challenges and values their contributions.
