The role of Coordinator Marketing In-House at Marriott Vacations Worldwide is a pivotal position that contributes directly to the company's success in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving sales performance. The Coordinator assists in providing Marriott Owners and guests with carefully curated experiences and events that create memorable vacation moments. A typical day involves scheduling sales presentations, managing customer expectations, and ensuring that attendees are eligible and open to learning more about Marriott Vacation Club products and services. The Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining high service standards and exceeding budgeted sales presentations and volume production goals by using persuasive techniques that balance maximizing revenue and maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott. This role also emphasizes guest experience and company standards by welcoming and greeting guests, anticipating and addressing their needs, and contributing to team goals while strictly following company policies and safety procedures.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sales or customer service experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Concierge or sales experience preferred
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening as required by company policy
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including reaching overhead and below knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods
  • Valid operation of company vehicles such as golf carts may be required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sales or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Experience in concierge or sales preferred
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues

Job Duties

  • Schedules sales presentations and manages customer expectations
  • Provides the highest level of service to exceed budgeted sales presentations and volume production goals
  • Ensures that all Owners and guests attending a sales presentation meet eligibility requirements and are open to learning more about Marriott Vacation Club products and services
  • Uses persuasive techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott
  • Welcomes and greets guests and anticipates and addresses their needs
  • Interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly
  • Contributes to team goals
  • Always follows company policies and safety procedures
