The role of In House Marketing Coordinator at the Tropicana, located centrally in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a full-time position tailor-made for individuals passionate about marketing and offering exceptional customer interaction. This role involves in-person marketing to prospective and current owners within the resort, focusing on scheduling guests for presentations and engaging them as part of the sales and marketing team. Acting as a positive and professional brand ambassador, the coordinator partners with resort staff to efficiently manage guest arrivals and qualifies potential customers based on company guidelines. Responsibilities include making sales-tour reservations, collecting deposits, and distributing informational materials such as parking passes, activity schedules, and area brochures.

The In House Marketing Coordinator position requires strong communication skills to greet, present, and incentivize prospective customers to attend sales presentations, all while adhering to company policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. This role also demands a proactive approach to training and development: attending scheduled sessions, participating in department meetings, and staying current with marketing material and industry trends. Performance goals are set and reviewed on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, with production standards to be met consistently.

Ideal candidates will have 1 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience, though this is not mandatory. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and smart device usage is required along with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should be able to work within a team environment in a shared space and must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a college degree is preferred.

Job Duties

  • Serve as a positive and professional brand ambassador for Travel + Leisure Co.
  • Partner with the resort staff to receive arrival sheets of guests checking in
  • Screen and qualify potential customers based on company guidelines
  • Make sales-tour reservations and collect required deposits
  • Distribute parking passes, activity schedules and area brochures to the guest
  • Greet, present and incentivize prospective customers to attend a sales presentation in accordance with all company policies, compliance standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining minimum performance goals
  • Attend all scheduled training sessions, department meetings, keep current on marketing information and materials, keep current on industry trends, and set and review performance goals weekly, monthly and annually
  • Must meet production standards on a weekly basis
