Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license and auto insurance with a reliable vehicle recommended
- adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
- negative drug screen and background check
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
- physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- COVID-19 vaccine encouraged but not mandated
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- prior caregiver or home health aide experience preferred
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- basic knowledge of personal care techniques
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
- valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle recommended
- understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality practices
Job Duties
- Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits
- assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
- assist clients with active and passive mobility exercises as defined by the plan of care
- document observed changes to the Director of Nursing
- maintain client confidentiality adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- provide companionship and emotional support
- report any safety hazards or significant behavior changes
