Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid driver’s license and auto insurance with a reliable vehicle recommended
  • adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
  • negative drug screen and background check
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
  • physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • COVID-19 vaccine encouraged but not mandated

Job Qualifications

  • prior caregiver or home health aide experience preferred
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
  • basic knowledge of personal care techniques
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately

  • understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality practices

Job Duties

  • Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits
  • assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
  • assist clients with active and passive mobility exercises as defined by the plan of care
  • document observed changes to the Director of Nursing
  • maintain client confidentiality adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • provide companionship and emotional support
  • report any safety hazards or significant behavior changes
