Job Description
Home Helpers is a respected in-home care agency serving the counties of Washington, Multnomah, Clackamas, and Yamhill. Established as one of the fastest growing companies in Washington County, Home Helpers is renowned for its dedication to providing compassionate and exceptional care to seniors and individuals who require assistance with daily living. This agency prides itself on fostering a workplace culture built around kindness, respect, and flexibility, where caregivers are valued not only for their skills but also for the deep purpose they bring to their vocation. Home Helpers is committed to offering employees flexible schedules that accommodate a variety of lifestyle needs, including full-time, part-time, and various shift lengths ranging from 4 to 12 hours.
As a caregiving agency, Home Helpers provides a unique opportunity to work in an award-winning environment where you can find meaningful work that truly touches lives. The company understands the importance of respecting employees' time and provides numerous benefits such as daily pay via Tapcheck, paid training (both initially and ongoing), a $150 referral bonus, paid sick leave, and more. Caregivers are central to this mission and are supported with tools and programs that help make their work manageable and rewarding.
We are currently seeking experienced, exceptional caregivers with starting pay between $20 and $23 per hour. This role focuses on providing non-medical personal care and support services in clients' homes. Duties include assisting with personal hygiene like bathing, supporting mobility, light housekeeping, running errands, meal preparation, companionship, and other life-enriching activities. The position requires a genuine passion for helping seniors and others to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life right in their own homes.
Successful candidates will have at least one year of caregiving experience, with a preference for two years and specific experience in areas like bed-bound client care, dementia care, incontinence, and hospice care. The role demands strong English communication skills and the ability to pass state and federal background checks. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, along with valid car insurance and a mobile phone, are essential as care is delivered across a 10 to 25-mile radius per shift within the service counties.
Working with Home Helpers means joining a friendly, professional team that values compassion, flexibility, and dedication. The agency offers competitive hourly wages, mileage reimbursement, paid orientation, paid sick time, paid time off, 401(k) plans, and medical, vision, and dental benefits. Shifts are offered in the day, evening, and occasionally night times, with weekends also available. The company emphasizes an open and supportive work environment, encouraging ongoing training and professional growth. This caregiver position is an ideal opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in the lives of others while enjoying a flexible and rewarding career.
