Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Pass a National Criminal Background Check
- Comply with Colorado Adult Protective Services regulations
- Pass a DMV check
- Successfully complete drug screening
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in the caregiving profession
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
- Willingness to participate in training and ongoing education
- Understanding of client dignity and respect principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of Alzheimer’s and dementia care is an asset
Job Duties
- Provide companionship, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Remind clients to take medications and assist with errands
- Offer transportation to appointments
- Assist with activities of daily living including personal care and hygiene
- Deliver specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Follow state and company protocols for client safety and care
- Communicate effectively with clients and care team
