As a Caregiver at Comfort Keepers, the role involves directly assisting individuals who require support with their daily activities. Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursing assistance training or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance
  • Reliable transportation and willing to drive personal vehicle for client transportation
  • Willing to provide personal care for males and females
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to read, comprehend and clearly speak English
  • Possess and use a smartphone including sending texts and emails, downloading and using apps, and completing online training
  • Able to function in a home setting with minimal supervision
  • High moral standards of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record check, reference checks, and TB screening
  • Willing to drive up to 25 miles to a shift

Job Qualifications

  • Engage clients in activities of interest
  • Follow care plans and accurately document tasks
  • Willing to drive up to 25 miles to a shift
  • Experience in in-home care, long-term care, assisted living, dementia care, or nursing homes preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Familiarity with client rights and home care practices
  • Medication administration experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist male and female clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and tidying living spaces
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Implement behavior management techniques as needed
  • Use a smartphone to send texts and emails, download and use apps to view care plans, record tasks, and communicate
