The company emphasizes teamwork, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards, creating a professional and productive work environment that supports employee growth and client retention.

The Service Manager – Inland Lease & Rental position at Inland plays a pivotal role in the company’s maintenance and operational success. This full-time role, offering a competitive salary range of $92,000 to $115,000 per year, is responsible for managing a cost-efficient Preventative Maintenance and Repair program. The Service Manager will oversee staffing, ensure customer retention, control costs, and meet departmental objectives while maintaining all service records accurately. This role involves designing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program tailored to the Inland Lease & Rental fleet.

In this leadership position, you will forecast goals and objectives for the service department, maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business, and manage performance through detailed reporting and tracking systems. The Service Manager will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, manufacturer warranties, and company policies. Maximizing warranty and policy support opportunities, reviewing repair orders, and maintaining excellent quality standards while minimizing repair comebacks are key responsibilities. This ensures customers receive prompt, fair service estimates and follow-up communications that reinforce satisfaction. The role also demands handling customer complaints professionally and providing after-hours emergency support as needed.

Supervisory duties include hiring, training, motivating, and counseling staff, ensuring all employees understand their roles and responsibilities thoroughly. Leading by example with professional and ethical conduct, the Service Manager will conduct weekly meetings, monitor productivity, facilitate training opportunities, and collaborate with vocational schools to support recruitment efforts.

Safety is a top priority within Inland, with the Service Manager enforcing all safety protocols, including personal protective equipment usage, training programs such as WHMIS and TDG, and compliance with the company’s Health and Safety Manual. The manager also ensures that company service vehicles are well-maintained and safe for use.

Technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and equipment, along with at least three years of relevant experience, is required. Strong leadership and customer relations skills, the ability to interpret financial reports, and a valid driver’s license are essential. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, occasionally lifting up to 25 kilograms or 50 pounds.

Inland supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, a 401k employer-matching program, flexible savings accounts, health savings accounts, long- and short-term disability insurance, life and accidental death insurance, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
