Job Description
Dallas Retirement Village is a distinguished senior living community located in the scenic town of Dallas, Oregon. Established amid the beauty of a 30-acre campus, this community offers a harmonious blend of natural architecture and the picturesque landscape of the Mid-Willamette Valley. Known for its unique all-inclusive lifestyle, superior hospitality, and unmatched location, Dallas Retirement Village stands out as more than just a senior living facility. It is a vibrant community where active older adults can enjoy rewarding opportunities, exceptional hospitality, great friendships, and a lively lifestyle that promotes dignity and engagement among its residents.
Currently, Dallas Retirement Village seeks a dedicated and experienced full-time Independent Living Housekeeper to join the Environmental Services Department. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, fresh, and homelike environment for residents and visitors, particularly in the Health Center area of the campus. The position offers a full-time day shift schedule from Sunday through Thursday with competitive pay ranging from $17.30 to $20.08 per hour depending on experience.
The Independent Living Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and completing side work to uphold high standards of hygiene and comfort. This includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, making beds, removing trash, and ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned according to established schedules and infection control protocols. The housekeeper must be physically capable of performing the tasks, which include bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling carts, and must follow safety regulations and chemical handling procedures diligently.
Furthermore, the role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with and respect residents, their families, visitors, and coworkers. The housekeeper will also participate in ongoing professional training and education sessions to ensure compliance with protocols and enhance the quality of service provided. Dallas Retirement Village prides itself on fostering a fun, engaging, and positive work environment where each staff member is a valued part of a great team.
In addition to a rewarding work atmosphere, the company offers comprehensive benefits to support the personal and professional growth of its employees. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan with company match, paid time off, eight paid holidays, a scholarship program, tuition reimbursement, childcare/daycare assistance, and now offering every day pay options. This robust benefits package underscores the company’s commitment to its staff’s well-being and career development.
If you are passionate about delivering superior housekeeping services in a nurturing senior living environment and have the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality, this position at Dallas Retirement Village represents an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.
