Job Description

This opportunity is for the position of Shift Manager for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Starting pay is $13 per hour, with weekend and night shift availability required. As a Shift Manager at IHOP Brainerd Road, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the restaurant during your assigned shift. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service while upholding IHOP's high standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction. This leadership role requires balancing operational efficiency with a customer-first approach and includes handling various administrative and managerial duties.

The Shift Manager will oversee staff performance, provide on-the-job training and support, and foster a productive and positive work environment. You will ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies, manage inventory, monitor sales and profitability, and address guest concerns promptly and professionally. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in restaurant supervision or management preferred
  • ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts including weekends and holidays
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • willingness to undergo background check
  • ability to motivate and train team members
  • reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and service standards
  • ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints efficiently and professionally
  • supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service
  • foster a positive and productive work environment
  • help achieve sales targets and maintain profitability
  • maintain accurate records of employee performance, inventory, and sales reports, providing recommendations for improvements when necessary
  • assist in monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing food costs, ensuring adequate levels of food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen, and other miscellaneous supplies for the shift
  • handle finances and make a daily run to the bank when needed
