Job Description

IHOP, a beloved dining establishment since 1958, is renowned nationwide as a welcoming place where people come together over breakfast, enjoy casual meals, and create memorable experiences. With a strong focus on community and guest satisfaction, IHOP has built a culture centered on friendliness and care, symbolized by the iconic smile that has become an integral part of its brand identity. The company fosters an inclusive and positive workplace environment aimed at encouraging associates to grow both professionally and personally. Whether you are joining as a full-time or part-time team member, IHOP offers an opportunity to balance your work and personal life while enjoying a variety of benefits that support your health, happiness, and future. This environment thrives on teamwork and diversity, valuing every team member's unique contributions.

The role of a Host/Hostess at IHOP plays a vital part in delivering exceptional guest experiences that keep visitors coming back. Hosts are the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting, seating, and assisting with any special accommodation needs, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued. Hosts manage waitlists during peak times, process to-go and delivery orders, and maintain the restaurant’s appearance and dining atmosphere. Employees in this role must be flexible with work shifts, exhibit strong teamwork, and maintain professionalism at all times. They handle cash transactions responsibly and may be required to perform physical tasks such as lifting items up to 30 pounds. Training is provided to ensure that hosts are well-prepared to meet the high standards of guest service at IHOP. This job is perfect for individuals seeking a dynamic and socially engaging work environment where every day brings new interactions and opportunities to grow.
