Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience preferred but willing to train enthusiastic beginners
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required
  • Commitment to following food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a line cook position or similar role within the food industry is preferred
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
  • Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietary aide roles is beneficial
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to continually learn and improve culinary skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Job Duties

  • Ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages or needs
  • Present yourself in a professional manner, including following all uniform guidelines
  • Maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter
