Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a fast casual or similar food service environment is beneficial but not required as training is provided
- ability to work weekends and holidays required
- commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to follow uniform guidelines and maintain a professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a line cook position or similar role within the food industry is preferred
- strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- familiarity with dietary department operations or dietary aide roles is beneficial
- ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety
- strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment
- a passion for cooking and a desire to continually learn and improve culinary skills
- ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality
- prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages or needs
- present yourself in a professional manner, including following all uniform guidelines
- maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter
