Established with a commitment to providing exceptional experiences through quality service, safe environments, and creative atmospheres, Future Bars continues to be a leader in the local entertainment and hospitality industry. The group proudly operates well-known locations such as Bourbon & Branch and Zombie Village, each offering unique, engaging experiences to locals and visitors alike. With a strong focus on professional growth and employee well-being, Future Bars values dedicated individuals who share a passion for hospitality and guest safety.

Future Bars is currently seeking motivated candidates for the position of ID Checker/Door Person/Security for various locations in Downtown San Francisco. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in the restaurant, bar, or hotel industries or those enthusiastic about entering the security and hospitality field. The position typically involves working Thursday through Saturday evenings from 6 pm to 2 am, providing a balanced schedule that fits well with individuals seeking part-time or supplementary work hours.

The role of the ID Checker/Door Person/Security is crucial in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Employees in this position serve as the first point of contact for patrons, greeting them warmly upon arrival and departure, carefully verifying identification to ensure compliance with ABC guidelines, and monitoring for signs of intoxication to maintain safety and order within the venue. Additionally, personnel are trained in conflict de-escalation, helping to manage guest disputes calmly and effectively, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience.

Candidates for this position must be at least 21 years old, possess excellent oral communication skills, and preferably have at least one year of experience in security or front desk roles within hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, or nightclubs. An active guard card is highly desirable, although there is an opportunity to obtain this certification within the first six months of employment. The role demands physical endurance, as employees are required to stand for extended periods, up to eight hours per shift.

Future Bars offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $24, depending on experience level. The company provides comprehensive benefits, including healthcare plans sponsored by the employer for full-time employees and a matching 401(k) plan for qualifying personnel, illustrating the company’s commitment to the health and financial security of its staff. Future Bars also emphasizes workplace equality and inclusion, operating as an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate against applicants based on a variety of protected characteristics. Note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

In summary, joining Future Bars as an ID Checker/Door Person/Security presents an excellent employment opportunity for those interested in hospitality and security services, offering a supportive work environment, competitive pay, and meaningful benefits in the thriving nightlife district of San Francisco.
