This ICU Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) position is a full-time role requiring 36 hours per week on the ICU unit, offering a convenient night shift schedule along with full benefits. The role involves both clinical and managerial responsibilities, including direct and indirect patient care, performing disciplinary actions, and participating in hiring and termination processes. As a supervisor, the nurse communicates effectively with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers regarding patient clinical conditions, diagnostic results, and symptomatology. The ICU Clinical Supervisor RN is expected to respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses. The role demands competency in specialized patient care within the ICU setting, pain assessment and management, teaching patients and their families, and ongoing evaluation and revision of care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Requirements
- Current NV State Registered Nurse Licensure
- A minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification as appropriate for department specific
- Specialty certification preferred
- Bachelors in Nursing preferred or enrolled in an accredited program within one-year of employment or transfer into supervisor role
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate
- Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area
- Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain
- Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques
- Educates the patient and family regarding pain management
- Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness
