This management position at Gaylord Hotels involves assisting in the planning and execution of meetings and special events, supporting the implementation of departmental strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals. The role is crucial in promoting and ensuring the seamless execution of all property events from sales through operations and back to sales where applicable. The incumbent will lead a team to meet and exceed daily and weekly goals related to sales, attendance, guest satisfaction, and safety, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position is full-time, located onsite at 6000 W Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee, Florida, and offers a competitive pay range of $25.77 to $27.69 per hour, along with eligibility for bonuses.

Key responsibilities include managing meetings and special events operations and budgets, researching competitive products and pricing, and assisting in developing event management strategies that align with corporate goals. The role also involves managing profitability by establishing vendor relationships, creating upsell opportunities, and controlling departmental expenses to meet budget targets. Exceptional customer service is a core focus, requiring the creation of an inviting and satisfying atmosphere for guests throughout event areas, handling guest feedback and complaints effectively, and empowering employees to deliver excellent service.

Human resources activities form another critical aspect of this role, including recruiting, training, appraising employee performance, monitoring attendance, and ensuring workplace safety and security. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales, or marketing, or alternatively, a two-year degree in hospitality or a related field with at least one year of professional experience.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
