Job Description
Badger Infrastructure Solutions is a leading provider of non-destructive hydro-excavation (hydrovac) services, established in 1992, and recognized for its innovative approach and cutting-edge technology in the excavation industry. Serving a diverse range of markets such as oil and gas, energy, industrial, construction, transportation, and various government agencies across Canada and the United States, Badger is committed to safety, precision, and environmental protection. The company prides itself on its inclusive hiring philosophy, welcoming individuals from a wide array of backgrounds to create a stronger and more dynamic team. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, Badger offers employees numerous opportunities to advance their careers.
The Hydrovac Operator position at Badger Infrastructure Solutions is essential to the company’s mission of providing safe and efficient excavation services. This role involves operating hydrovac equipment that uses high-pressure water and powerful vacuum systems to dig precisely, uncover underground utilities, and support various construction and infrastructure projects. Employees in this role work in diverse environments, including confined spaces, and must adhere to strict safety protocols. The operator is responsible not only for equipment operation but also for driving hydrovac trucks about 10-15% of the time, conducting routine checks and minor repairs, and ensuring all work areas are properly prepared with safety measures. Accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and customer regulations are crucial for success in this role.
This role offers an hourly wage starting at $30.50, with the potential for pay increases based on experience and performance. Additionally, Badger provides many chances for career development through ongoing training programs and supportive employee initiatives. Hydrovac operators at Badger are valued team members who engage in regular safety meetings and work collaboratively to maintain the highest safety standards. The job requires physical stamina as operators will perform manual labor in various weather conditions and must be able to lift, push, and pull over 50 pounds. Candidates must possess valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's Licenses, and preferable certifications such as CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, and OSHA 10. While previous hydrovac operation experience is preferred, motivated candidates without it are encouraged to apply, emphasizing Badger’s commitment to employee growth and development.
By joining Badger Infrastructure Solutions as a Hydrovac Operator, you become part of a team that prioritizes safety, respects diversity, and is dedicated to delivering top-tier excavation services that protect public infrastructure and the environment. This employment opportunity is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where their contribution makes a significant impact on essential infrastructure projects.
