This dedication extends beyond guest services to fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment where team members grow and thrive.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at Hyatt Regency Buffalo. As the Sous Chef, you will serve as the creative force behind our banquet kitchen, responsible for producing delicious and visually stunning dishes that delight our guests at events and banquets of all sizes. This role combines culinary creativity with operational leadership, ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The Sous Chef works closely with the kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. This position is classified as an Overtime Eligible Manager (OEM), meaning overtime compensation is provided and calculated in accordance with regulations. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree along with 2 to 4 years of experience managing fast-paced, high-volume kitchens in a full-service restaurant or hotel environment. You’ll be a natural leader, able to inspire and coach your culinary team while handling complex challenges with composure. Your communication skills will be critical as you coordinate with culinary staff, management, and guests to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory and budget control, ensuring compliance with Hyatt and Aimbridge Hospitality standards, and fostering a positive and motivated team culture. If you thrive in an environment where culinary artistry meets operational excellence and want to advance your career in a prestigious hotel setting, this opportunity with Hyatt Regency Buffalo is the perfect place to showcase your talents and grow professionally. Join us to be part of a team where innovation, leadership, and guest satisfaction are at the forefront of everything we do.
