Job Description

Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento is a vibrant, lifestyle-focused hotel situated in the heart of Sacramento, California. Nestled among entertainment venues, shopping districts, and dining establishments, this hotel embodies the spirit of the "farm-to-fork" capital, offering guests an authentic West Coast experience. Historical attractions related to the California Gold Rush and the Transcontinental Railroad are steps away, enriching the cultural context for visitors and residents alike. Hyatt Centric features exceptional on-site dining options including The 7th Street Standard, which offers an eclectic mix of West Coast-inspired fare, and the Clayton Club, a rooftop restaurant and bar with sweeping views and live jazz performances. Private dining spaces and event venues are also available, making this hotel a prime location for corporate meetings, social events, and private parties. The hotel serves as the perfect home base for experiencing downtown Sacramento's lively nightlife, shopping, cultural institutions, and major entertainment events at venues like the Golden 1 Center.

As a Food & Beverage Manager at Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento, you will spearhead hospitality operations with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences and excellent customer service. This role demands a versatile leader who can inspire and train a team dedicated to maintaining high standards from the lounge to banquet settings. You will serve as the captain of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued throughout their visit. Beyond guest interaction, your responsibilities include strict adherence to operational compliance in grooming, safety, and certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid. You will proficiently manage administrative tasks like payroll, scheduling, and productivity tracking.

Your role is vital in maintaining superior food quality and vibrant promotions that attract and retain customers. Overseeing inventory and beverage purchasing will require your strong financial acumen. Effective communication and quick problem-solving will be imperative as you address guest requests and concerns promptly. This position also entails involvement in meetings, analyzing operational reports, and providing flexible support to the team when and where needed. Candidates with a minimum of five years of progressive hospitality experience, or a relevant college degree coupled with experience, will find this role rewarding. Hospitality supervisory experience is a plus, along with proficiency in Windows-based applications and strong arithmetic skills.

The Food & Beverage Manager position offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package following an initial waiting period. These benefits include daily pay options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income plans, life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. Join Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento and Evolution Hospitality to be part of a team that values honesty, humility, intellect, and the collective mission of professional and personal growth. This position is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and leadership, eager to contribute to a world-class operation in one of California’s most historic and exciting urban settings.
