Aramark is currently seeking a skilled HVAC Technician for the 2nd shift to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems within a large facilities environment. This position is crucial for maintaining safe, comfortable, and operational facilities during evening hours. The hourly compensation ranges from $30.00 to $45.00, reflecting the company's commitment to offering competitive wages based on expertise and experience.

The role of HVAC Technician involves hands-on work with complex commercial HVAC systems, requiring expertise in preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and mechanical troubleshooting across institutional, commercial, healthcare, industrial, or campus settings. This skilled trades position demands a thorough understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and building automation systems to ensure optimal facility operations. Working the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, the technician must also be flexible to accommodate evening and weekend work based on operational or emergency maintenance needs. This position emphasizes a high level of technical skill as well as a commitment to maintaining positive working relationships with customers, clients, and co-workers.

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, operating, and repairing refrigeration and related equipment, calibrating pneumatic control systems, servicing air handling and heating units, cleaning HVAC components such as grills and ducts, and completing scheduled preventative maintenance while maintaining accurate records. Emergency response and maintaining critical inventory and tools are also key aspects of the role. The position may involve physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Candidates will be expected to follow all safety procedures and use necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Requirements

  • HVAC certification required
  • previous experience in HVAC field
  • strong communication skills including written and verbal
  • ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE
  • physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking or standing
  • availability to work 2nd shift hours including possible evening and weekend flexibility
  • knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, plumbing codes and maintenance

Job Duties

  • installs, inspects, tests, operates, and repairs refrigeration and related equipment
  • calibrates, repairs, and maintains pneumatic control systems and related equipment
  • checks, services, cleans, and replaces filters in A/C air handling and heating units
  • cleans and maintains grills, ducts, and shaft ways in A/C, ventilation, and exhaust systems
  • understands and demonstrates knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration codes and practices
  • completes preventative maintenance as scheduled and keeps records
  • responds to emergency repair and maintenance situations
  • maintains critical inventory and tools
  • maintains a friendly and positive attitude toward customers and co-workers
