This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range from $20.19 to $35.00 per hour, with the added potential for an annual discretionary bonus.

As a Maintenance Technician II at Invitation Homes, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier maintenance services across various trades within single-family rental homes. Your responsibilities will include performing routine repairs, maintenance service requests, and proactive property condition assessments. The role demands exceptional customer service to ensure residents enjoy a comfortable and well-maintained living environment. You will be expected to demonstrate professionalism and respect within residents’ homes, completing scheduled ProCare visits that include maintenance and repairs, and educating residents on maintenance topics and how to operate their home systems. Utilizing mobile applications effectively is an essential part of this role, as it facilitates scheduling, reporting, and follow-up visits. Your tasks will also involve performing repairs on vacant properties during turnover processes, careful use and upkeep of company-supplied tools and equipment, and adhering rigorously to safety regulations. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive in planning daily work, and has a strong commitment to safety and quality. The Maintenance Technician II will collaborate closely with property management teams to identify and address urgent maintenance issues promptly, ensuring that the company’s high standards for home quality are consistently met. Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
2-5 plus years’ proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance or related experience
OSHA 10 certification (new hires have up to 90 days to complete if not certified)
ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis including occasional weekends and holidays
current driver’s license and automobile insurance
ability to provide basic hand and power tools
ability to perform work requiring frequent climbing, reaching, use of fingers, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing
ability to lift and or move an excess of 50 pounds or more and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned

Job Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
2-5 plus years’ proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance or related experience
OSHA 10 certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
strong verbal and written communication skills
comfortability using mobile devices and various mobile applications
understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems
ability to perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor) and appliances
current driver’s license and automobile insurance
ability to be at work regularly and consistently including occasional weekends and holidays
ability to provide basic hand and power tools
ability to perform physically demanding work

Job Duties

Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades
providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents
perform required work while demonstrating respect for resident’s home
completing regular ProCare visits in residents’ homes to perform proactive maintenance and repairs
educating residents regarding all maintenance topics by specifically showing webpage of Invitation Homes expectations
educating residents on the functional systems of their rental home
completing general property condition assessments at all property visits and alerting the property management team when items require immediate attention
reviewing and using Technician-specific reports to find opportunities for improvement
performing repairs in vacant properties while they are on-the-market or during the turn process
properly using and caring for company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles
proactively reviewing the next day’s appointments to ensure the proper equipment, material, information, and allotted time is available to complete the work in a single visit
adhering to all Invitation Homes safety guidelines
performing other duties as assigned
