Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five or more years of experience in servicing repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems including chillers boilers and rooftop units
  • Experience working with building mechanical electrical and structural systems in commercial industrial or public sector facility
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Successful completion of pre-employment reference criminal history drug screening and motor vehicle report
  • Possess and maintain valid State of Nebraska driver’s license and be insurable under normal rates
  • Obtain CDL license within six months of hire and maintain it for duration of employment
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 70lbs using safe lifting techniques and equipment
  • Ability to climb in and out of trucks and up and down stairs and ladders
  • Ability to sit climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl stand and walk
  • Must adhere to all safety standards and regulations
  • Must exhibit reliable punctual attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five or more years of experience servicing repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems including chillers boilers and rooftop units
  • Experience working with building mechanical electrical and structural systems in a commercial industrial or public sector facility
  • Prior experience in facilities maintenance airport operations or large-scale campus environment preferred
  • Knowledge of basic principles of construction
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to read understand and interpret technical instructions
  • Considerable knowledge of airport operating hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to work at heights of 80 feet
  • Must speak write and read English fluently

Job Duties

  • Diagnose adjust repair and service commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems including chillers boilers rooftop units and air handlers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC and facility systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC refrigeration and facility equipment
  • Test equipment performance identify defects and ensure proper operation before returning systems to service
  • Overhaul service and assemble hydraulic compressed air vacuum pneumatic and electrical control systems and components
  • Repair and maintain building systems including HVAC water electrical doors and structural components
  • Perform duties associated with day-to-day operations and upkeep of Lincoln Airport Authority and Industrial Park facilities
