Job Description
Uline is a family-owned company and North America’s leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials. With over 9,800 employees across 14 locations, Uline has established itself as a powerhouse in the industry by providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service. Founded over four decades ago, the company prides itself on its commitment to employee development, operational excellence, and maintaining a drug-free, safety-sensitive work environment. Uline's headquarters and main distribution center in Reno, Nevada, houses modern, best-in-class facilities that include a first-class fitness center and a beautifully maintained walking path, fostering a healthy and supportive workplace culture.
As a Human Resources Representative at Uline's Reno branch, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our employees and contributing to our mission of attracting and retaining top talent. This role offers an excellent salary range from $75,000 to $100,000 per year and demands a dedicated professional ready to engage closely with different departments including recruiting, benefits administration, and legal compliance teams. You will be responsible for collaborating with the recruiting team and hiring managers to ensure the successful selection and seamless onboarding of new employees. Additionally, you will support the administration of employee benefits and leaves such as short-term disability, workers' compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and personal leaves, ensuring compliance and smooth process handling.
Your responsibilities will also include leading workplace policy and employee conduct reviews to maintain a positive and productive environment. Active participation in job fairs, community events, and employee engagement initiatives will further enhance Uline's brand reputation as an employer of choice. A solid understanding of federal, state, and local legal regulations relating to employment is crucial, as you will be tasked with maintaining and updating this knowledge regularly to ensure that the company remains compliant and up-to-date with all HR-related legislation.
This role requires a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, combined with at least 3 years of generalist HR experience, preferably in a warehouse setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems such as Workday is necessary to manage HR information systems efficiently. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, essential for interacting effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
Uline is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, offering a range of comprehensive benefits including complete health insurance coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 6% employer match starting from day one, multiple bonus programs, paid holidays, and generous paid time off. The company also supports employee professional development through a Tuition Assistance Program that funds continuing education. All positions at Uline are on-site to maintain direct interaction and alignment with the company’s culture and operational needs. New hires must pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening as Uline is a drug-free workplace committed to safety and compliance.
Working at Uline means being part of a vibrant team in a dynamic environment rich with opportunity and growth potential. Employees benefit not only from competitive compensation and benefits but also from the company's investment in creating a healthy and engaging workplace. Uline’s HR team is integral to building a culture where employees are valued, supported, and motivated. If you are seeking a role where you can make a direct impact on people’s careers and help shape the future of a leading company, this Human Resources Representative position at Uline’s Reno branch is the ideal opportunity for you.
