Job Description

Uline is a well-established, family-owned company recognized as North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials. The company’s Ohio branch, located at 8320 Global Way SW, Etna, OH 43018, is home to a substantial 1.4 million square-foot warehouse in Columbus. Uline’s commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its expansive product range and distribution reach but also in its dedication to fostering a positive, engaging, and employee-first culture. Uline operates as a drug-free workplace and emphasizes compliance with employment laws, offering stable and rewarding career paths backed by over 45 years of industry success.

The Human Resources Manager role at Uline’s Ohio branch plays a critical part in maintaining and growing the top-tier workforce essential to the company’s ongoing success. This position is a full-time, on-site opportunity with a competitive annual pay range from $120,000 to $150,000, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required. The Human Resources Manager leads HR operations servicing more than 200 warehouse, facilities, and office employees within a dynamic, high-volume environment. This role involves building, coaching, and developing a high-performing HR team dedicated to supporting the staffing needs of the current and upcoming facilities.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership teams to drive effective hiring strategies, performance management, employee relations, and engagement initiatives. The expectation is to foster a positive and productive workplace culture by guiding performance conversations and conflict resolution with a strong focus on mutual respect and operational efficiency. Success in this role demands expertise in applicable federal and Ohio-specific labor and employment laws and a comprehensive understanding of talent acquisition in shift-intensive, warehouse, or high-growth settings.

Uline values continuous professional development, which is supported by programs such as tuition assistance for professional continuing education. The company also offers a premium benefits package, including complete health insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% employer match that begins on day one, multiple bonus programs, paid holidays, and generous paid time off. The facilities themselves boast modern, clean environments complemented by amenities like a first-class fitness center and a well-maintained walking path to promote employee wellbeing.

As the Human Resources Manager, you will initially engage in extended travel for specialized training at Uline's North American locations, ensuring you are comprehensively equipped to meet the challenges of the role at the Ohio branch. Your leadership will directly affect not only recruitment success but also retention and the overall work experience of Uline employees, helping to sustain the company’s reputation as a premier employer in the shipping and packaging sector. Joining Uline means becoming part of a dedicated team committed to high standards, operational excellence, and career stability within a thriving and supportive corporate culture.
