Job Description

Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. As a reputable multinational corporation, Marriott operates an extensive portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide, including the distinguished JW Marriott brand, which represents luxury and refined hospitality. Located at 1221 22nd St NW, Washington, District of Columbia, Marriott International's property offers a dynamic and engaging work environment dedicated to promoting the well-being and development of its associates. This full-time management position is integral to the Human Resources team, designed to uphold the high standards of employee relations and business success that Marriott is known for.

In partnership with external recruitment sources and community organizations such as the Hotel Association, this role ensures a diverse and qualified candidate pool. In addition to recruitment, the role involves comprehensive administration of employee benefits, including unemployment claims management, benefit program resources oversight, and representation at unemployment hearings.

Proactive employee relations management ensures open communication channels, resolution of workplace issues, and maintenance of a positive and productive work environment. The role demands attentiveness to maintaining accurate and secure employee records while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements such as the Privacy Act and workers' compensation protocols.

Moreover, this management role includes responsibility for overseeing drug testing processes, enforcing safety and security policies, and representing HR interests in safety committees to promote workplace health and safety standards. The position requires meticulous attention to compliance, documentation, and procedural integrity to minimize risk and uphold Marriott's commitment to its associates. Working at Marriott means joining an inclusive, diverse global community where every associate is valued and supported, embodying the brand's promise of "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." By joining JW Marriott, the associate becomes part of a luxury hospitality experience that emphasizes holistic well-being, professional growth, and a nurturing community that respects and celebrates unique talents and backgrounds. This opportunity allows the candidate to be part of a globally recognized hospitality leader while developing their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
