Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in human resources or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in human resources, business administration or related
  • 1 year experience in human resources or related area
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • capability to manage employee disputes and disciplinary processes
  • proficiency in coordination of training and development
  • experience working in hospitality or similar industry preferred

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant experience
  • OR 2-year degree in human resources, business administration, or related major with 1 year of relevant experience
  • knowledge of recruitment and hiring processes
  • experience with employee benefits administration

  • ability to manage workers compensation and safety programs
  • proficiency in conducting investigations and claims reviews
  • team collaboration and vendor management skills

Job Duties

  • assists in interviewing and hiring human resource team members
  • establishes and maintains contact with external recruitment sources
  • attends job fairs and documents outreach efforts
  • networks with local organizations to source candidates
  • oversees candidate identification and selection process
  • provides subject matter expertise to property managers regarding selection
  • partners with vendors to ensure effective advertisement of open positions
  • performs quality control on candidate selection
  • works with unemployment services provider to respond to claims
  • prepares and audits unemployment claim reports
  • attends unemployment hearings and represents the property
  • supports new hire orientation and training programs
  • ensures cross-training of employees
  • supervises ongoing training initiatives
  • coordinates new hire orientation emphasizing guest service
  • maintains effective employee communication channels
  • reviews progressive discipline documentation and determines appropriate action
  • utilizes open door policy for employee concerns
  • refers employee issues to management or HR directors
  • partners with Loss Prevention for accident investigations
  • communicates performance expectations
  • maintains employee files and ensures compliance with privacy laws
  • manages drug testing processes
  • communicates property rules and safety policies via various channels
  • conducts claims reviews with Regional Claims office
  • represents HR at the property Safety Committee
  • manages Workers Compensation claims
  • oversees selection and non-selection processes ensuring proper procedures
