Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field
- Minimum of one year of human resource management experience
- Prior experience managing volunteers or recruitment preferred
- PHR, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to present professionally to groups
- Clean driving record
- Ability to travel as needed within service area
- Willingness to work in a drug-free environment
Job Qualifications
- Related undergraduate degree in business, human resources, or closely related field preferred
- Minimum of one year of human resource management experience required, three years preferred
- Prior volunteer management or employee recruitment experience preferred
- PHR, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred and willingness to obtain certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present professionally in public
- Excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with individuals at all levels
- Clean driving record and ability to be approved under organization auto insurance
- Willingness to travel within the service area
Job Duties
- Manage the volunteer program including recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, and record keeping
- Develop community connections to recruit volunteers and interns
- Coordinate employee retention initiatives such as engagement surveys, service awards, retirement parties, and appreciation activities
- Implement and maintain FMLA compliance and tracking including timely documentation and notifications
- Manage COBRA compliance notifications for current and departing employees
- Assist with recruitment, applicant screening, interviewing, and onboarding for entry-level positions
- Support workers’ compensation activities and OSHA reporting including accident review and documentation
