Within this thriving manufacturing environment, the Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual is a vital role intended to provide comprehensive HR support to one of Novolex’s manufacturing sites. Reporting primarily to the Human Resources Manager, this role involves working closely with site leadership teams to ensure the site’s ability to attract, retain, and develop a skilled workforce that meets the company’s standards of quality and operational excellence. The role emphasizes employee and community engagement, fairness in HR practices, and compliance with all applicable policies. This position acts as a business partner by aligning HR strategies with operational goals, coaching frontline leaders, and leading talent acquisition efforts, particularly for hourly positions. Alongside recruitment, the Generalist manages onboarding, training, and performance management to foster a workplace culture aligned with Novolex’s core values.
The role requires managing employee relations activities such as investigations and exit interviews, auditing policy adherence, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The Generalist is also responsible for analytics and reporting to identify trends impacting workforce performance and recommending corrective actions. By collaborating with centers of excellence across talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and employee experience, the HR Generalist helps maintain a healthy, engaged, and productive workplace environment.
The position requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish and benefits from HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP. Experience in manufacturing or distribution settings is preferred to effectively partner with business leaders in a fast-paced industrial environment. The compensation range for this role is approximately $65,000 to $85,000 annually, with additional bonus potential and comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with company match, medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred
- bilingual in Spanish required
- 2+ years HR business partner experience
- manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certifications or local equivalent preferred
- experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems

- ability to travel less than 5% within the United States

Job Duties
- Participates in the daily management of the site aligning functional strategies, projects, and initiatives to deliver business solutions
- coaches and develops frontline leaders
- owns employee engagement including communications, recognition, and rewards
- organizes community and local events
- leads full-cycle recruiting process for all hourly requisitions
- partners with leaders to develop onboarding, immersion, and training for new hires
- assists with talent management including performance and talent reviews, workforce planning, and development plans
- advises and provides guidance regarding talent, organizational effectiveness, change management, and culture
- performs employee relations tasks such as investigations and exit interviews
- audits files, policies, and procedures for adherence to standards
- maintains dashboards and performs analytics to identify root causes and suggest countermeasures
- ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal HR laws
- stays current on HR trends
