The HR Coordinator role at Stord is a critical position responsible for acting as the primary human resources representative within the company’s warehouse operations. This role is designed for an individual who is enthusiastic about fostering a positive and engaging employee experience while supporting operational excellence in a fast-paced startup environment. The HR Coordinator works closely with both the local operations team and warehouse leadership to ensure that Stord’s culture and values are consistently promoted and upheld across the organization. This position requires someone adept at navigating the complexities of HR functions such as managing attendance, employee relations, compliance with people policies, and employee advocacy. The HR Coordinator also plays a proactive role in analyzing people data to identify trends and deliver effective engagement strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with management on various HR-related matters, organizing employee engagement initiatives, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures that align with legal compliance and industry standards. Given the dynamic nature of Stord’s business, this role requires adaptability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence positive changes within the workplace. This position is onsite and involves a rotating shift schedule from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends needed during peak business periods. The HR Coordinator will be instrumental in strengthening the workplace culture by balancing operational demands with supportive people programs, ultimately driving employee satisfaction and organizational success at Stord.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related function
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative startup or logistics environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work onsite Monday through Friday with rotating shifts between 6:00 am and 4:30 pm
  • Availability to work occasional weekends during peak seasons

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for all HR-related matters in the warehouse
  • Collaborate with management on corrective actions, investigations, escalations, time and attendance requests, and benefits questions
  • Provide daily and weekly attendance reports to operations leadership, tracking UPT, PTO, callouts, and general attendance compliance
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for people programs and processes to ensure legal compliance and industry consistency
  • Advocate for employees while empowering them and their managers to self-advocate
  • Analyze people data to identify trends and provide proactive engagement opportunities and solutions
  • Enforce people policies with input from the operations team to ensure best practices
  • Create and maintain a positive culture that balances operational efficiency with supportive people programs
  • Organize and implement ideas for employee engagement and operational excellence in collaboration with the 1P People team
