The General Manager position at HomeTowne Studios offers a unique opportunity to be at the helm of operations in an extended stay hotel environment. With a starting salary range between $81,000 and $85,000 annually, this role invites candidates who are passionate about hospitality management and committed to maintaining high service and quality standards. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring that the property meets and exceeds guest expectations while also fostering a positive workplace culture for the employees. This role requires a strong leader capable of managing multiple departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry, and Sales.

Responsibilities include maintaining the hotel’s quality through regular inspections of rooms and public areas, managing budgets effectively, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations. Candidates will recruit, train, and motivate staff to achieve exceptional service delivery. In addition to hands-on leadership, the General Manager will handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, and responding to guest reviews, positioning them as the central figure in daily hotel management. Job Requirements

  • Maintain the hotel's quality by inspecting rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and order
  • Responsible for the management of the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry and Sales at the hotel
  • Recruit, hire, train and lead employees to meet and exceed service and quality
  • Coach, counsel and motivate all employees as necessary
  • Ensure compliance of Federal, State, local and company requirements
  • Control costs effectively to meet budget guidelines through forecasting, labor control and overall profit and loss performance
  • Manage property inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained while remaining within budget
  • Manage the daily, weekly and monthly administrative functions including but not limited to scheduling, labor reporting, night audit verification, payroll and responding to guest reviews etc
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Prefer 2 years of management experience, preferably in extended stay hotels, restaurant or retail management
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Understanding profit and loss statements and budgeting experience preferred
  • Ability and drive to lead a team and have the attitude for success
