We are currently seeking a General Manager to join our esteemed team, offering a competitive starting salary between $81,000 and $85,000, depending on experience. This full-time role is pivotal in maintaining the standards and smooth operations of our hotel properties. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry, and Sales. This leadership position demands exceptional organizational and managerial skills to ensure that our hotels not only meet but exceed quality and service expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of managing hotel operations or similar businesses, with a preference for those who have experience in extended stay hotels, restaurant, or retail management. The General Manager will play a critical role in recruiting, hiring, training, and motivating employees to uphold the company’s standards. They must be proficient in cost management practices including forecasting, labor control, budgeting, and profit and loss analysis while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.

In addition to managing operational aspects, the General Manager will oversee inventory management, ensuring supplies are adequately maintained within budget constraints. Administrative responsibilities will include scheduling, labor reporting, payroll oversight, conducting night audits, and responding to guest feedback. This role demands a self-motivated individual capable of operating with minimal supervision and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Maintain the hotel’s quality by inspecting rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and order
  • Responsible for the management of the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry and Sales at the hotel
  • Recruit, hire, train and lead employees to meet and exceed service and quality
  • Coach, counsel and motivate all employees as necessary
  • Ensure compliance of Federal, State, local and company requirements
  • Control costs effectively to meet budget guidelines through forecasting, labor control and overall profit and loss performance
  • Manage property inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained while remaining within budget
  • Manage the daily, weekly and monthly administrative functions including but not limited to scheduling, labor reporting, night audit verification, payroll and responding to guest reviews
  • Prefer 2 years of management experience, preferably in extended stay hotels, restaurant or retail management
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Understanding profit and loss statements and budgeting experience preferred
  • Ability and drive to lead a team and have the attitude for success
