Job Description

Webber is a leading construction and infrastructure management company known for delivering projects that meet the highest standards in safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. With a strong presence in the construction industry, Webber and its affiliated companies specialize in providing comprehensive solutions that span a wide range of services including civil construction, waterworks, infrastructure management, and energy projects. The company is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive working environment that upholds equity, diversity, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. At Webber, employees are empowered to contribute to impactful projects while advancing their professional growth in a supportive and resource-rich environment.

The Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Professional role at Webber is a critical position responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulatory requirements related to the Port Miami Tunnel project. Reporting directly to the HSEQ Manager, this role involves close collaboration with various teams to monitor, report, and support the implementation of the Quality Management Plan, Safety and Environmental programs, regulatory reporting, and training initiatives. The HSEQ Professional will play a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative HSEQ programs aimed at maintaining compliance with OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and project-specific safety requirements. This includes conducting audits, inspections, and observations to assess adherence to safety protocols and environmental permits.

In addition to regulatory compliance, the role involves active participation in safety committees, emergency response teams, and the improvement of employee orientation and contractor safety induction processes. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying hazards, investigating incidents, and facilitating corrective actions to enhance site safety and quality. The incumbent will provide expert guidance on PPE specifications, first aid, and emergency care, as well as coordinate laboratory result interpretations and regulatory submissions. A strong emphasis is placed on communication skills, collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, and the ability to coach and train others on safety best practices. This role requires flexibility to work in various challenging physical environments, including exposure to outdoor elements and live traffic, while maintaining a high standard of safety vigilance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field, and possess at least five years of experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance, with three years focused on quality control management systems. Certifications such as Hazwoper are mandatory, with additional certifications like OSHA 10-hour, Temporary Traffic Control, and National Incident Management System required within the first six months of employment. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental quality, and sustainable operations at the Port Miami Tunnel project, contributing meaningfully to a landmark infrastructure initiative.
