The role of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager at Hydro Extrusions, located in St. Augustine, Florida, is a pivotal position within the company’s HSE department. This permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from $114,581 to $128,588 annually. The HSE Manager is responsible for supporting and facilitating the comprehensive HSE system applied across all company processes. The role aims to ensure the health and safety of all personnel while actively reducing environmental impacts in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations such as OSHA and EPA.

As the HSE Manager, you will operate collaboratively with various departments to ensure the effective execution of safety policies and environmental standards. Working closely with employee teams and management, you will foster a culture of Care, Courage, and Collaboration. Responsibilities include conducting daily observations to verify safe work practices, leading investigations into injuries or incidents to identify root causes, and designing safety training programs including new employee orientations. Additionally, you will conduct analyses of industrial accidents and health hazards, develop and enforce safety policies compliant with OSHA and EPA standards, and monitor environmental objectives.

The role also entails advising departments on proper equipment design, chemical use, waste disposal, fire prevention measures, and general safety programs. Inspections of company facilities to detect hazards and recommending corrective actions will be routine, alongside monitoring potential environmental pollutants. The HSE Manager will coordinate with environmental consultants, oversee the workers’ compensation program to reduce lost time and unjust claims, and actively participate in community and industry safety initiatives.

Maintaining accurate safety records, submitting required reports to regulatory agencies, and supporting the Hydro Quality Management System and ISO 14001 standards are also critical aspects of the position. This role requires up to 25% travel and proficiency in English, as well as computer skills including use of HRIS, Microsoft Office, and digital reporting tools. A valid driver's license is necessary due to travel commitments.
