As an HR Data & Reporting Specialist at Lubrizol, you will play a critical role in managing and analyzing HR workforce data to support strategic decisions and operational excellence. This full-time, non-exempt position based in Deer Park involves working four days in the office and one flexible day per week. The role is designed for a professional passionate about leveraging data to improve workforce planning, compliance, and reporting processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee and organizational data, auditing for data quality and compliance, and resolving data-related inquiries. Partnering with HR, HRIS, IT, and other teams, you will troubleshoot complex data and system issues, monitor workflows to pinpoint efficiency gaps, and create reports that inform business operations. Additionally, you will assist in audits and compliance activities by providing precise data and documentation while developing standard operating procedures, job aids, and other resources to enhance process consistency.

Your expertise will be crucial in guiding employees and managers with HR data processes and self-service tools, validating system updates through testing, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. Job Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, information systems, or a related field with 2+ years of related HR operations experience
  • or high school diploma, general educational development (GED), or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience
  • experience in HR data management, shared services, customer service, or similar environments
  • experience working with HRIS, enterprise resource planning (ERP), case management, or other business systems
  • experience creating and maintaining reports using workforce or business data
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and data integrity
  • strong customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Job Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and organizational data across HR systems and databases
  • review and audit data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established processes and standards
  • process, track, and resolve data-related requests, inquiries, and service tickets in a timely and customer-focused manner
  • troubleshoot data and system issues, partnering with HR, HRIS, IT, and other teams to resolve complex issues
  • monitor data workflows and identify recurring errors, inconsistencies, or process gaps to improve efficiency
  • create, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports to support workforce planning, compliance requirements, audits, and business operations
  • compile, validate, and organize data from Workday and other HR systems to ensure reporting accuracy
  • assist with audits, reporting cycles, and compliance activities by providing accurate data and supporting documentation
  • create and maintain standard operating procedures, job aids, process documentation, and knowledge base resources
  • provide guidance to employees and managers on HR data processes, reporting requests, and self-service tools
  • participate in testing and validation activities related to system updates, enhancements, and process changes
  • identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and overall service delivery
  • actively contribute to team responsibilities, adapt to changing priorities, and demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a commitment to high-quality work
