Job Description

5 STAR Event Services is a leading specialty provider of Event Security and Staff with a strong presence in the sports and entertainment industries across Texas. Founded in the year 2000, 5 STAR Event Services has amassed a wealth of experience by serving fans at more than 42,000 events in major cities such as Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The company has built a robust reputation within the community by partnering with prestigious clients including Major League Soccer (MLS), National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), NCAA Football, NASCAR, Formula 1, MotoGP, American Hockey League (AHL), G League Basketball, along with a diverse range of venues including stadiums, arenas, theaters, symphonies, festivals, and conventions. As a privately held woman-owned business enterprise with a DPS License #B09954, 5 STAR Event Services is committed to providing top-tier security and event staffing solutions while maintaining equal opportunity employment practices.

This opportunity is for an energetic, reliable, and safety-minded individual to join the 5 STAR team as Event Staff and Security Officers for the upcoming American Clean Power Association Conference at the George R. Brown Convention Center. This role starts on May 27th, 2026, and continues through June 6th, 2026. It is a permanent part-time position offering an hourly pay starting at $15, with additional opportunities to work at sports, entertainment, and music events throughout the year, making for an exciting and varied work schedule.

As an Event Staff and Security Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of all clients, guests, and employees during events. The role involves monitoring access points, conducting guest screening procedures, providing guest services such as navigation assistance and seating help, managing guest flow, responding to incidents, enforcing venue policies, and assisting in emergency situations. This hands-on position demands a high level of professionalism, customer service skills, and a safety-first mindset to handle dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environments with poise.

5 STAR Event Services thrives on the principles of teamwork and connection, promoting a culture where "Together Everyone Achieves More!" Flexibility is key, as many events occur in the evenings and on weekends, often in fast-paced, loud, and crowded settings including outdoor venues where weather conditions may vary. The company supports its staff by providing necessary accommodations to ensure comfort and safety during all events. This role also requires the successful completion of a Level II Security License including training, exam, fingerprinting, and background check, which 5 STAR facilitates at no cost to employees.

Joining 5 STAR Event Services means becoming part of a reputable and dynamic community serving some of the best and most exciting events in the region. Employees enjoy competitive pay, skill development opportunities in customer service and security, and the chance to be engaged in vibrant community and public gatherings. Whether you are seeking a long-term part-time role or looking to expand your experience in event security and staff services, 5 STAR offers an environment where you can grow, have fun, and make meaningful connections while representing some of the largest events in Texas.
