Job Description

5 STAR Event Services is a leading specialty event security and staff provider focused on delivering exceptional service within the sports and entertainment industries. Established in 2000, 5 STAR Event Services has grown to become a trusted provider for some of the most prestigious events across Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, Texas. With an extensive portfolio that includes NCAA Football, NASCAR, Formula 1, MotoGP, AHL Hockey, G League Basketball, as well as various stadiums, arenas, theaters, symphonies, festivals, and conventions, the company has successfully supported over 42,000 events. As a privately held Women’s Business Enterprise with a DPS License #B09954, 5 STAR Event Services is committed to fostering a dynamic work environment where inclusion, safety, and professionalism come first. The company employs between 501 and 1000 people and operates with a strong focus on integrity and dedicated client service. Their event staffing is known for a robust team structure based on the philosophy of Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM), fostering collaboration and connection among employees while ensuring top notch service for patrons at every event. The company offers permanent part-time hourly employment opportunities for individuals passionate about engaging with the public while maintaining safety at high-profile sports and music events. The role of Event Staff and Security Officer is vital to ensuring the comfort, safety, and security of all guests, clients, and fellow employees during events. Employees in this role will be responsible for monitoring entrances and exits, performing routine inspection procedures, handling patron complaints according to policies, and helping direct orderly evacuations in emergencies. The position requires individuals to be observant, courteous, and capable of maintaining calm under pressure, all while exhibiting excellent customer service skills. Compensation for the role starts at $13.00 per hour and may increase based on experience and performance. The work environment is fast-paced, often exposed to loud noise levels typical of sports and music venues, and includes both indoor and outdoor settings with events taking place rain or shine. Flexible availability is important as many events occur during evenings and weekends. By joining 5 STAR Event Services, team members become part of exciting and meaningful community and public events where they can develop valuable skills in customer service, security, and emergency response. This is more than just a temporary job; it is an opportunity to be involved year-round with a company that supports career growth and offers a fun and rewarding atmosphere. Members not only get to know their city and teams but also gain the satisfaction of contributing to memorable and safe experiences for event attendees.
