The role of Event Staff and Security Officer at 5 STAR Event Services offers an exciting career opportunity for individuals passionate about safety, customer service, and being part of dynamic public events. Employees in this role play a critical part in ensuring the safety and comfort of clients, guests, and fellow team members during a variety of sports and music events. As an Event Staff and Security Officer, you will be responsible for upholding the integrity and security of event spaces. This includes monitoring entry and exit points, performing bag checks and screenings, and enforcing event policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment. You will greet and assist guests, manage crowd control, maintain clear access routes, and respond promptly and professionally to any complaints or incidents. Your ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively communicate with a diverse range of patrons and colleagues will be essential. You will also assist in emergency situations, including facilitating orderly evacuation and providing security escorts when required.

Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- at least 18 years of age
- reliable forms of communication and transportation
- pass Level II Security License exam including fingerprinting and criminal background check
- ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- ability to lift 25lbs
- full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearly
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- at least 18 years of age
- reliable forms of communication and transportation
- possess a LEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training and Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check)
- a strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance
- possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- the ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructions
- the ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employees
- the ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly
- the ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations
Job Duties
- Enforce and uphold the integrity of public and private areas of the job location
- monitor entry and exit points to specific areas
- perform routine search and inspection procedures including bag checks and screening of guests and their tickets, credentials, etc. prior to guest entry to ensure that no prohibited items enter
- greet and direct guests to seating areas and various services
- maintain open and smooth access routes of patron and vehicle walkways
- receive and act on complaints from patrons according to policies and procedures
- enforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activity
- aide in the direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergencies
- provide security escorts per event requirements
