Bakers/Fryers ensure that all products meet quality control standards and reach the showcase and tables within prescribed times.

Customer service is a cornerstone of this role, requiring the Baker/Fryer to take orders, answer product-related questions, and use suggestive selling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction while driving sales. The daily operations include equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and sanitation following H-E-B’s stringent food safety policies. The position demands efficient planning and organizing skills to break out proper quantities of baked goods and maintain accurate records of production and shrinkage to assist with production planning.

This full-time position requires candidates to work in a fast-paced retail environment where attention to detail and customer interaction are paramount. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasionally working in wet, hot, or cold conditions. H-E-B is dedicated to creating a safe workplace and provides necessary training in food safety and sanitation upon hire. Job Duties

  • slices, packages, labels, and rotates products
