Job Description

NeighborImpact is a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential human services that foster vibrant and resilient communities across Central Oregon. Serving Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties, as well as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, NeighborImpact focuses on addressing critical needs such as housing stability, food security, energy assistance, and financial empowerment. With a commitment to inclusivity and equity, the organization prioritizes respect and dignity for all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other identities. The agency offers a wide range of programs designed to help vulnerable populations, connecting them with resources that support self-sufficiency and an improved quality of life.

This full-time Housing Advocate role at NeighborImpact's Housing program offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing housing insecurity. The program provides vital support including eviction prevention, deposit assistance, and prioritization of services based on need rather than application time. The Housing Advocate acts as a compassionate champion for clients navigating complex housing challenges, providing personalized case management aimed at securing stable housing and promoting independence. This role involves comprehensive client screenings, eligibility assessments, and strong advocacy for access to housing resources. A collaborative relationship with the Client Services Manager ensures coordinated efforts that enhance client outcomes. Located in Bend, Oregon, this position offers a wage of $28.03 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour for bilingual Spanish speakers, emphasizing the agency's focus on accessible communication and cultural competence.

Employment with NeighborImpact includes excellent benefits such as fully paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance premiums, a retirement plan with agency contributions up to 6%, paid vacation accrued within the first year, 14 paid holidays annually, and separate sick leave accrual. The organization supports professional growth and values community-driven impact, making this Housing Advocate position ideal for individuals passionate about social work, human services, and the pursuit of social justice. Those who join NeighborImpact find themselves empowered to work in an environment where every day brings opportunities to support equity and positive change in the community.
