The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and tidying all public areas to ensure they meet the high standards of the hotel. Duties include the cleaning and upkeep of rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using specialized equipment such as vacuum cleaners and carpet shampoo machines. The role also involves cleaning hallways, restrooms, washing walls and ceilings, as well as moving furniture and turning mattresses when needed. Floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing are night-and-day responsibilities to maintain pristine conditions throughout the hotel. Furthermore, the Houseperson manages logistical tasks like handling linens, trash removal, stocking housekeeping closets, and setting up items like towels, cribs, and roll-away beds in guest rooms upon request. This position demands physical stamina, as it requires standing or walking for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of cleaning products and demonstrate a hands-on and guest service-oriented approach. Job Requirements
- Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

- Cleaning and upkeep of rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaners, brooms, and carpet shampoo machines
- Cleaning rooms, hallways, and restrooms as needed
- Washing walls and ceilings, moving furniture, and turning mattresses
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors in common areas
- Dusting and polishing metalwork in common areas
- Managing linens including collecting soiled linen and stocking housekeeping closets
