The Housekeeping Attendant role at Comfort Inn Santa Monica is an essential position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the hotel. This in-person role demands dedication, attention to detail, and teamwork, as the attendant supports fellow housekeeping staff while ensuring all guest rooms and common areas meet the company’s cleanliness standards. The role offers a competitive hourly wage starting from $23.50 and is expected to be a full-time position with approximately 40 hours per week, primarily during day shifts. Key responsibilities include sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, restocking room amenities, light laundry tasks, and cleaning common areas such as the breakfast room and administrative spaces. Additionally, the attendant must support guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and maintaining procedures to uphold guest safety and security. Candidates with prior housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience are encouraged to apply, as it will be beneficial in fulfilling the role's requirements. Job Qualifications

  • 1 plus years of prior general housekeeping experience
  • 1 plus years of prior hotel housekeeping experience highly desirable
  • excellent communication skills in English for teamwork collaboration
  • bilingual communication skills in Spanish preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Ensure the standard room set-up is in compliance with company standards
  • sanitize and clean all room surfaces including pictures, electronics, appliances, and furniture
  • vacuum and mop all floors to ensure no debris remain
  • restock all room amenities
  • properly maintain workstations by stocking sheets, towels, amenities
  • perform light laundry duty such as folding towels and sheets
  • clean common spaces including Breakfast Room and Administrative Room
  • assist hotel staff with additional cleaning chores when needed
  • complete daily housekeeping reports and turn in pass key daily
  • respond to and follow up on guest requests to ensure customer satisfaction
  • ensure systems and procedures are followed for guest safety and security
