The Houseperson position at Park Hyatt Chicago serves as a crucial member of the housekeeping team, tasked with upholding the impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation that define the hotel’s guest experience. As a Houseperson, you will play an integral role in maintaining the elegance and orderliness of all public areas, supporting room attendants by delivering linens and supplies, and ensuring guest floors and back-of-house spaces are meticulously organized and guest-ready at all times. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years housekeeping or related experience in luxury or forbes-rated hotel
- physical ability to perform lifting and extensive walking
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- knowledge of professional cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- reliable and punctual
- commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service
Job Qualifications
- minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping or public areas within a luxury or forbes-rated environment
- demonstrated commitment to delivering warm, polished, and discreet service
- proven ability to support room attendants and manage supply distribution
- strong attention to detail and ability to uphold highest standards
- familiarity with professional cleaning equipment and safety procedures
- highly dependable with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- able to regularly lift, push, pull, and transport linens and equipment
- comfortable standing, walking, and remaining physically active for full shifts
- availability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- genuine passion for elevated hospitality
