Job Requirements
- ability to stand and walk during entire shift
- frequent kneeling, squatting, and bending
- ability to push up to 50lbs
- ability to pull, lift, carry, or move up to 20lbs
- frequent use of hand, wrist, and manual dexterity
- exposure to EAP approved cleaning chemicals, dust, and smells
- occasional potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- ability to interact with guests by speaking, listening, and writing
- high school diploma or equivalent
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services preferred
- must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
Job Duties
- adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of colleagues and guests
- strip guest rooms that are designated as a departure
- stock all guest rooms designated as departures with new linen, terry, and water
- maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors
- maintain and organize the Housekeeping back of house closets
- stock linen in closets
- stock all guest room amenities in closets
- empty out trash from back of house closets
- deliver guest request items within the Forbes service standards and guidelines
- collect all dirty linen from guest floors and sort specialty items for washing
- provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to overall performance and communicate effectively
- maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service
- perform other duties as assigned
