Job Description

Hilton is a globally renowned hospitality company with a rich heritage and a widespread presence in the hotel industry. Known for delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering an award-winning workplace culture, Hilton has welcomed more than 3 billion guests worldwide. As a leader in hospitality, Hilton is committed to filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality through its suite of world-class brands. The company has been repeatedly recognized on the World's Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune, reflecting its dedication not only to guests but also to the wellbeing of its team members. Hilton stands as a beacon for those seeking a career in hospitality, offering a supportive environment where employees can thrive and excel.

The position of Houseperson at Hilton is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel’s public areas. This role goes beyond basic cleaning duties; it embodies the spirit of hospitality by contributing to a welcoming and memorable environment for every guest. As a Houseperson, you will ensure that all designated areas such as restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces are kept spotless through regular dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, washing windows, and trash removal. Your role directly impacts the guest experience by creating a clean and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to maintaining cleanliness, you will greet guests warmly, assist with delivering requested items, and support room cleaning efforts as needed, which underscores the Houseperson’s role in guest delight and satisfaction. Managing and organizing supplies in the housekeeping support areas is another critical responsibility that ensures operational efficiency. Periodic special projects such as deep cleaning tasks, including flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors, will also fall under your purview, contributing to the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the property.

At Hilton, core values such as integrity, teamwork, leadership, ownership, and a sense of urgency guide every team member’s actions. The company believes in acting with integrity and inspiring others through effective leadership while placing a strong emphasis on teamwork and accountability. The Houseperson role embodies these values by focusing on delivering high standards of hospitality in every interaction and task performed.

Hilton invests significantly in the wellbeing of its team members, acknowledging that exceptional hospitality begins with a supported and motivated workforce. Benefits such as discounted travel opportunities through the Go Hilton program, an employee stock purchase plan offering discounted shares, paid parental leave, caregiving support services, mental health resources, generous paid time off, comprehensive health and dental insurance, and robust retirement savings plans are part of the employment package. These offerings demonstrate Hilton’s commitment to supporting employees' personal and professional lives, helping them feel valued and cared for as part of the Hilton family.

In summary, joining Hilton as a Houseperson means becoming part of a global leader in hospitality with a strong legacy and a vibrant future. This role offers more than just a job – it provides a meaningful career opportunity to contribute to the guest experience, grow within a supportive culture, and enjoy a range of benefits that foster both wellbeing and financial security. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to play a key role in creating welcoming environments, Hilton invites you to embark on this exciting journey and help make every guest's stay a little more magical.
