This position focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of public spaces such as restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event areas. Daily responsibilities include dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping floors, washing windows, and emptying trash bins. Beyond cleanliness, the Houseperson acts as a key contributor to the overall guest experience by warmly greeting guests, fulfilling their requests, and assisting the housekeeping team with room cleaning tasks as necessary. Additionally, this role involves managing housekeeping supplies and supporting property maintenance by identifying and reporting any repair or maintenance needs, which helps maintain a well-kept and safe property environment.
This is an hourly position with a competitive rate of $24.30 per hour, commensurate with experience and location. The employer also adheres to fair hiring practices consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring. Joining Hilton means more than just taking a job; it means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence in hospitality and making a difference in every guest's stay.
The Hilton team offers robust benefits designed to support the wellbeing and personal growth of its employees. From travel perks that allow staff to enjoy discounted stays at Hilton properties worldwide to financial programs like the employee stock purchase plan, Hilton invests in its team members' futures. Paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, and crisis concierge services provide compassionate assistance during important life moments. Mental health resources through an Employee Assistance Program, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and welfare benefits ensure holistic care for the team member and their families. These offerings affirm Hilton's deep commitment to its workforce, enhancing job satisfaction and fostering a culture of care and respect.
At Hilton, the Houseperson role is vital to upholding the brand's reputation for clean, inviting hotels and outstanding guest services. If you are someone who takes pride in cleanliness, enjoys helping others, and wants to be part of a team that values leadership, teamwork, and integrity, this opportunity is ideal.
