As a leading hotel in the region, the Hilton Irvine Orange County Airport offers modern amenities, prime location advantages, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that caters to business travelers, tourists, and families alike. The hotel prides itself on excellent customer service, attention to detail, and providing comfort and convenience to its guests from the moment they arrive until their departure.
Joining Hilton means becoming part of a brand that not only values its guests but also deeply invests in the wellbeing and growth of its team members. The Hilton Irvine Orange County Airport operates with a culture built on integrity, teamwork, respect, and leadership, fostering an environment where employees can thrive professionally and personally.
The role of Houseperson at the Hilton Irvine Orange County Airport is a pivotal position within the housekeeping department. This full-time role requires the candidate to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality across various public and back-of-house areas in the hotel. The Houseperson’s responsibilities extend beyond routine cleaning tasks to actively contributing to the guest experience by maintaining a welcoming, pristine environment.
An ideal Houseperson at Hilton will have at least 1 to 2 years of prior housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting, a strong physical capability to perform manual labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, bending, stooping, and being on their feet for an entire shift. The position demands flexibility in working hours, including the availability to work weekends and holidays. Experience with floor care, such as carpet shampooing and floor buffing or waxing, as well as handling linens, is highly regarded.
During a typical day, the Houseperson will be expected to keep public areas spotless by dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping floors, washing windows, and emptying trash bins in designated hotel areas including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces. Beyond custodial duties, the role also involves delivering guest requests, supporting room cleaning, managing supply stocks to ensure readiness of housekeeping materials, and assisting with special projects like deep cleaning and property maintenance alerts.
At Hilton, the culture emphasizes spreading warmth and hospitality, acting with integrity, demonstrating leadership, encouraging teamwork, and taking ownership and accountability for all responsibilities. The company values a sense of urgency and attention to detail, recognizing that these qualities significantly enhance the guest experience and overall hotel operations.
Working at Hilton comes with numerous benefits designed to support employees’ wellbeing and career progression. These include impressive travel privileges such as deeply discounted stays at Hilton properties worldwide, opportunities to invest in Hilton through an employee stock purchase program at a discount, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving and crisis support, mental health resources, generous paid time off, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and financial planning assistance through retirement programs.
Hilton prides itself on its award-winning workplace culture, regularly recognized as one of the world’s best employers by prestigious organizations like Great Place to Work and Fortune. The company’s commitment to inclusivity, career development, and employee satisfaction makes it a sought-after employer for those starting or advancing their career in hospitality. By joining Hilton Irvine Orange County Airport as a Houseperson, candidates have the opportunity to contribute to a globally respected brand, enjoy a supportive work environment, and build a rewarding career with one of the hospitality industry’s most iconic leaders.
