We are currently seeking a dedicated and meticulous Housekeeper to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest experience throughout the property. The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing cleaning assignments in guest rooms, hallways, elevators, and public service areas with a focus on detail and efficiency. The candidate will play a crucial role in sustaining the pleasant ambiance and hygiene standards that our guests expect.

The position requires vacuums, dusts, polishes, and performs related cleaning tasks with care and professionalism. The Housekeeper will manage linen delivery and guest supplies, handle emergency mopping, and ensure that all public and private spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness. With guest comfort paramount, this role demands a quiet, orderly approach to daily duties, as well as effective communication skills to promptly address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints.

Team collaboration is emphasized, with the Housekeeper expected to establish and maintain effective communication channels with all levels of the hotel team and guests. The employee will be expected to follow Nugget policies, maintain a safe work environment, and support a positive and professional image for the hotel. Regular, predictable attendance is required, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to upholding the esteemed reputation of the Nugget through their conscientious work ethic and attention to detail.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language
  • ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift and move product up to 50 lbs
  • fine finger manipulation
  • work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels
  • work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events

Job Duties

  • Vacuum hallways, guest rooms, and carpet edges
  • clean and high dust guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, elevator lobbies, elevator cabs and service areas
  • polish windows, mirrors, and glass inside and outside of guest room and elevator foyer, as assigned
  • turn and spray mattresses as needed, when assigned
  • load and deliver fresh linens, and cleaning and guest room supplies to floor service areas, maintain par stock levels
  • inspect and clean all public area ash trays and replenish sand in urns
  • pick up, wash, wrap and deliver guest room tumblers to respective floor linen closets
  • remove and replace draperies and/or curtains for dry cleaning as needed, and as assigned
  • remove, store, and replace guest room furniture and supplies, as directed
  • sort/separate soiled linens and tray items
  • perform emergency mopping and wet vacuuming work as may be required from time to time
  • perform all duties in a quiet and orderly manner, always bearing in mind the sleep, comfort, and satisfaction of all guests
  • retrieve and separate all dirty linen
  • address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests
  • recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate
  • knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations
  • perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike
  • immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager
  • maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same
  • regular predictable attendance is required
  • other duties and responsibilities as assigned
